John Hiatt - Live In Chicago (2015)

After more than a decade of struggle in which his first seven albums failed to break the Top 200 despite widespread critical acclaim, John Hiatt broke through to a wider audience with a series of records in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This broadcast of more than two hours of December 1990 performances at Chicago s Vic Theater on local station WXRT focuses on material from his album six months earlier, Stolen Moments, as well as his late- 80s records Bring the Family and Slow Turning. Among the highlights is a version of Thing Called Love, covered by Bonnie Raitt on her 1989 album Nick of Time.
